Accent lighting refers to the alignment of lights towards individual objects or areas of the room. Furniture, pictures or sculptures can be particularly highlighted or emphasized with the help of accent lighting. In order to create strong contrasts and hard shadows, accent lighting often uses spotswith a significantly higher amount of light than the basic lighting for use. Accent lighting is, among other things, an important means of shop and museum lighting.
