Basic Lighting
If a room is illuminated evenly, it is called basic lighting or general lighting. It offers the opportunity to orient yourself and ensures that architecture, objects and space are equally visible. Basic lighting is primarily generated by indirect, diffuse light. The use of several light sources or luminaires is ideal for this purpose. However, the basic lighting does not take special visual tasks at individual places in the room into account.
