Direct lighting refers to the direct directing of the light onto a horizontal usable plane. As soon as the light from a lamp hits the object to be illuminated directly without any further reflections, this is called direct lighting. This purpose is primarily fulfilled by ceiling lights or spots, which provide downwards light distribution can be used. Direct lighting is suitable for zoned or accent lighting, it creates a lively environment through the play between light and shadow.
