Glare

Share
Glare or overexposure refers to an optical or visual disturbance caused by excessive brightness and the resulting visual overload. Glare occurs when the intensity of light puts excessive strain on the eye's ability to adapt. The result is a reduction in the visual performance. A distinction is made between physiological glare, i.e. the measurable impairment of visual performance, and psychological glare, i.e. the non-measurable impairment of visual comfort.
